Proper Dryer Cleaning & Fire Prevention

From the Apopka Fire Department:

Doing laundry is most likely part of your everyday routine. But did you know how important taking care of your clothes dryer is to the safety of your home? The Apopka Fire Department wants to share these few simple safety tips to help you prevent a clothes dryer fire:

  • Have your dryer installed and serviced by a professional.

  • Do not use the dryer without a lint filter.

  • Make sure you clean the lint filter before or after each load of laundry.

  • Remove lint that has collected around the drum.

  • Rigid or flexible metal venting material should be used to sustain proper air flow and drying time.

  • Make sure the air exhaust vent pipe is not restricted and the outdoor vent flap will open when the dryer is operating. Once a year, or more often if you notice that it is taking longer than normal for your clothes to dry, clean lint out of the vent pipe or have a dryer lint removal service do it for you.

  • Keep dryers in good working order. Gas dryers should be inspected by a qualified professional to make sure that the gas line and connection are intact and free of leaks.

  • Make sure the right plug and outlet are used and that the machine is connected properly.

  • Follow the manufacturer’s operating instructions and don’t overload your dryer.

  • Turn the dryer off if you leave home or when you go to bed.

Exterior Security Cameras

Before installing any type of security camera equipment on the exterior of your home, an architectural review board application must be submitted for review. Please include the camera product details and the proposed location(s)

Your Homeowner Association's Payment Processor is Changing

Sentry, the company managing your association, is consolidating to a single source payment processor for eChecks, debit cards, and credit cards.  Our new payment processor is RevoPay. You are receiving this message because you currently have recurring payments set up to automatically process your homeowner assessments through Union Bank. If you wish to continue automatic recurring payments, you must register on www.mysentrypay.com by December 31, 2018. All automatic payments processed by Union Bank will be cancelled by Union Bank as of December 31, 2018.The move is easy—a few simple steps is all that is needed to update your account. Why not do this now?  Here is how:

  1. Go to Union Bank and cancel your schedule of recurring payments

  2. and create an account with our payment partner, www.mysentrypay.comGo to RevoPay

  3. Enter your 16-digit account number, the assessment amount and frequency of payments

Important deadlines: October 1 - You will no longer be allowed to modify your recurring payment schedule on Union Bank. You will only be able to delete the existing recurring payment schedule, if desired.  December 31- The last day Union Bank will process recurring payments.

Why is this happening?

Homeowner feedback has informed us that making payments should be simple. Additionally, all types of payments should be able to be made on one website. To provide that level of convenience, since Sentry Management is neither a bank or credit card processing company, we needed to shift to a partner with industry-leading systems and flexibility. That is why we are asking you to move to www.mysentrypay.com.  On this new site, besides recurring payments, you can also make a one-time payment via credit card or eCheck. Please go to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for more details
